Christmas is just around the corner and we all know that most families spend it in a traditional way.
They put up a Christmas tree full of nice decorations such as having a beautiful big star on the topmost of the tree, having stuff like balls and other stuff dangling to put around it, and etc.

They attend midnight masses where in it is a tradition of most, if not all, Filipinos. It usually starts on December 16 as early as 4 in the morning. And the last mass will be held on Christmas Eve to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ. The last mass is called “Misa de Gallo.”

After mass, they spend time with the whole family in a delightful midnight snack or also know as the Noche Bueana. It is where they eat and celebrate the festive all together as a family. During the celebration, it is a must to have the most famous food during Christmas such as the ham and the Queso de Bola. These two are the most suitable food during Christmas.

On the day of Christmas, they give gifts that most of the time are expensive. These gifts can be found under the Christmas tree or inside the Christmas sock.

But does these stuff really show the true essence of Christmas?
For me Christmas is simple. You just have to spend time with the family. No gifts needed. All you need is Love, Happiness, and your Family. With the three components of Christmas, you will sure have a merry and wonderful Christmas to look forward to.
